We made a new friend this week, a very very large pumpkin.
There were some serious efforts at picking up a pumpkin!
and then....we saw these two work together to ROLL the pumpkin around the room. Brilliant!
The pumpkin joined us for story time.
Lifting the pumpkin was problematic, so we explored "moving" the pumpkin. Rolling the pumpkin was the way to go!
The large pumpkin has added a lot of interest to our space. We have asked questions such as "Can we lift the large pumpkin?" and "How can we move the large pumpkin?" The pumpkin has been with us through a few story times and a few free choice times, and, as you can see, the pumpkin can hold a lot of cameras.

Our interest in pumpkins began when we visited the farm and pumpkin patch!
We have painted pumpkin shapes, sung about pumpkins, and really explored pumpkins this week.
