Our first few days of school have been a whirlwind of getting to know each other and being together through our busy days. The children (and teachers!) have already begun to settle into the routine of making choices in play, coming together for circles, and learning about each other. Some of our favorite moments have included walks on the trails, singing songs to learn everyone's name, and reading books about going to school.

We have monarch caterpillars in our room, and each day there is a conversation about where the caterpillars are, what they will become, and how high they climb!
We have written the rules of our classroom together, and they are as follows:
1. BE PATIENT
2. LISTEN TO YOUR TEACHERS
3. BE SAFE WITH YOUR HANDS AND BODY
When our rules were written, we created a community collage with our names.
We have had wonderful weather, and our time outdoors has been spent learning about acorns and pinecones, dew, and how to safely have a stick!
We have had library time already with Laura!
Moving right along to an exciting new year of prek threes!
