Discoveries........

We had a beautiful weather week, and we were outside in it every day! It's exciting to see the children settling into our routine already-we have a Morning Meeting each morning and we breathe mindfully, then share a greeting and perhaps a song. Everyone cooperates!

Each day brought  NEW DISCOVERIES, including 2 chrysalis in the butterfly net,  red play dough, and rainbow rice in the sensory table.

This is what building looks like when you're three or almost three-it's very busy, and there's lots of ideas.....it's all about  process!

We had a big discovery in our classroom; a rainbow on the wall!!! There are all sorts of questions now; where did it come from, where is it, what colors are in it, how, even, do we make a rainbow?
There was even some jumping when we noticed the rainbow!
Some of the children stood in the rainbow!

We also used clay and stuck all sorts of outside things into it-sticks, pine cones, and acorns. I heard many stories as the clay filled up with objects. Many of the children made a "forest".

More discoveries......

new friendships...

.....shadows

woolly bear caterpillars.......
 trees to hug.......
and changing leaf colors!

Until Next Time,
Michele
