Camera Construction

We had many recyclable items to use to construct our cameras, and the children chose pieces that would work. They described the powers of their cameras as they built them; "this is a supercharger! "  "my camera can fly with this spinning thing." "it needs  a screen."  As I listened and help with construction, I noticed that the threes really did know a lot about cameras!  One child even said "What am I going to look through?" and we needed to construct a view finder for him to look through.

The cameras are hanging in our classroom now and the threes are very proud of them!

We had playdough in the classroom with loose parts, and we noticed "rainbows" and some collaborative work with making a "bubble as tall as the teachers!"

I believe this is pumpkin pie!

We added mirrors and reflective items to the fine motor table, as there is great interest in reflections, sunshine, prisms, and rainbows.

We finally did get outside on a beautiful day! We noticed that the flowers were all brown and dried up, but that there were seeds waiting for spring.

Also, we noticed that sometimes the ground was frozen!

We were on a stick and snow finding mission.......

We are very proud of our photographers, and would like to share the "gallery of photographers" here. The children's pictures are also up in the classroom!

Until Next Time,

Michele
